SMOKIN’ HOT HONEY CHICKEN WINGS, CHIPS AND SLAW

SMOKIN’ HOT HONEY CHICKEN WINGS, CHIPS AND SLAW

These intensely flavoured higher-welfare chicken wings are great value and really versatile.

INGREDIENTS

SERVES: 4

750g M&S Oakham Gold chicken wings

1 jar (195g) M&S smokin’ hot honey marinade

400-500g M&S homestyle frozen chips

½ white cabbage, shredded

3 carrots, grated

Bunch spring onions, sliced

2 tbsp white wine vinegar

3 tbsp mayonnaise

METHOD

1: Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan. Line two baking sheets with parchment.

2: Divide the wings in two by cutting through the joints. Place the wings into a bowl and mix with the smokin’ hot honey marinade. Leave to marinate for a few minutes, if you have time.

3: Spread the chips out on one of the baking sheets and lay the wings in a single layer on the other. Put both into the oven for 30 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, remove the wing tray, turn each wing over and baste with any leftover marinade, then return to the oven.

4: Meanwhile, place the cabbage, carrots and spring onions into a large mixing bowl. Add the vinegar and mayonnaise, season and mix well.

5: When the chicken and chips are cooked, serve along with the slaw and let everyone help themselves.
